This High Country destination is located in Boone and close to Blowing Rock, Jefferson, Banner Elk, Wilkesboro, and Mountain City. It offers flexible hours for open creative indoor/outdoor play as well as great classes for kidsand adults.

Build Fest 2015 is building STEAM!
We are already hard at work planning our 2nd annual Playhouse Build Fest 2015 which will be held on April 11, 2015. New Music and Martial Arts Class starting in February!
Parents' Night Out returns!
5:30-8:30 pm on Fridays, March 20th, and April 24th. Kids have a blast with wonderful ASU volunteers while parents enjoy a night out. For children 18 months to age 8. Click here to find out more and sign-up.
Foundations Give $7,500 for Free Memberships for Low Income Families
We recieved a wonderful surprise on Giving Tuesday (December 2, 2014): The Ethel and W. George Kennedy Family Foundation/ Kennedy -Herterich Fund has generously donated $5,000 to the Children's Playhouse's ongoing scholarship program to provide free memberships to low income families and agencies serving children at-risk or with special needs. The Blood, Sweat, and Gears Foundation also donated $2,500 earlier this fall for scholarships. We are very grateful for this support. During the last fiscal year, The Children's Playhouse gave away 68 free memberships at a cost of over $14,000 to the museum based on usage.
